1. Fees are payable termly in advance and no later than the second class of each new term. A written reminder for fees not paid after the second class of the term will incur a £5 administration charge.
2. Fees are based on a 4-8 week term as indicated on the timetable of EDS.
3. An Invoice will be provided at the end of each term for the following term. Fees paid in cash must be in an envelope, with child’s name and amount on the front and handed to the teacher. If using Internet Banking clearly state invoice number and student name.

4. Receipts will only be provided upon request. Fees are subject to change and EDS will notify you in advance of any increase in fees.
5. Your child’s class attendance must be confirmed to their teacher before the beginning of the new term in order to secure their place.
6. Fees are paid to secure the place in the class, therefore there will be no refund for absence due to illness or holidays within term time.
7. Should any pupil wish to discontinue any class or leave the school, refunds for any unused classes will not be given.
8. Prior permission must be sought from any pupil wishing to participate in any external vocational classes, amateur or professional productions.
9. Parents who book private lessons, whether for festivals, competitions, exam coaching or otherwise, must pay in advance for these classes when they are booked. Refunds will not be given in the event of the pupil not attending pre-booked private lessons. Private lessons will be booked in writing and agreed by pupil, parents and Teacher.
10. Pupils must be dressed appropriately for their chosen class with correct shoes.
11. Please ensure that your child goes to the toilet before class and brings a bottle of water if desired into the studio.
12. EDS do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to property left on the premises.
13. EDS will work towards IDTA exams. Pupils will only be entered when they have reached the required standard decided by the teacher. Ecco has the right to withdraw any pupil from an examination at any stage.
14. Fees for exams must be returned by the deadline on the entry form.
15. EDS endeavour to ensure that your children are dancing in a safe and comfortable environment. We ask you to bring and collect your child promptly and provide us with written details of changes in drop off/pick up arrangements, special medical needs etc.
16. Pupils will not be allowed to leave the studio areas until they are collected. Written permission is required should you wish your child to be allowed to leave unsupervised. This includes
walking down to an awaiting car. 122 Scotland Street is a dual use building, therefore we are never sure who is or isn't still in the building.
17. All students must register for the classes they attend in the waiting area at least 5 minutes before their class is due to start.
18. Please ensure that EDS receive any changes to pupils' contact details in writing. All details will be held in strict confidence (GDPR) and will not be passed on to outside parties except to the IDTA for children taking dancing exams and the ADFP for those competing or the local council for performance licenses.
19. Pupils will be asked to leave without notice for any serious breach of the school’s terms and conditions/ safe guarding policy or for any other serious misconduct.
20. The school does not discriminate on background, race or religion, regularly monitors staff to maintain school teaching policies and adheres to Health and Safety procedures to ensure that each child dances in a class appropriate to their level of development.
21. From time to time it is necessary for the teachers to use physical contact when helping to improve pupils’ posture or assist in movements. This includes physical contact between students ie. holding hands.
22. Photographs and video recordings may be used on the EDS website/internet for press and promotional development of the school. (If you do not wish your child’s image to be used, please tick the appropriate box on the registration form).
23. EDS is not registered as a body that offers childcare, therefore it is essential that a parent or carer/guardian remain on the premises while a child under 8 years is in class.
24. Bad Weather & Illness.
Recent years has seen the odd occurrence of bad weather, which has forced the venue to close due to health and safety. Similarly, occasionally a teacher may fall ill and it proves impossible to provide adequate cover. In these instances the school will re-schedule classes at the end of or in the following term and no refunds are offered.
